A vibrant, ruby-red chilled tea infused with tart hibiscus, sweet pomegranate, and a hint of warming cinnamon. This refreshing drink is the perfect healthy pick-me-up for any time of day!
In a medium saucepan, bring the 4 cups of water to a gentle boil.
Remove the pan from the heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers and the cinnamon stick. Cover and let it steep for at least 10 minutes to develop that deep ruby color and flavor.
The longer you steep, the more tart the tea will become!
Strain the tea into a large pitcher, discarding the solids. Stir in the honey while the liquid is still warm so it dissolves completely.
Use a fine-mesh strainer to ensure no flower bits get through.
Pour in the cold pomegranate juice and stir well to combine. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill for at least an hour.
To serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled tea over. Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves and a spoonful of pomegranate seeds for a festive touch!
This is my favorite way to stay hydrated during those busy school runs! The hibiscus provides a beautiful tartness that perfectly complements the sweet pomegranate. If you want it a bit sweeter, you can add an extra teaspoon of honey, but I think the balance is just right as it is. It's vibrant, refreshing, and packed with antioxidants!
