This Privacy Policy explains how ChefXi, a series of CrewXI LLC ("ChefXi," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our platform at chefxi.com (the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
When you create an account via Google or Facebook OAuth, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo. Chef accounts additionally provide payment and identity information via Stripe Connect, including legal name, date of birth, address, and bank account details.
Information you voluntarily provide, such as your display name, bio, handle, avatar, dietary preferences, cuisine interests, and social media links.
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including pages visited, recipes viewed, searches performed, features used, device type, browser type, IP address, and referring URLs.
Content you create on the Platform, including recipes, reviews, comments, community posts, cooking progress photos, direct messages, and digital products.
Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We receive transaction metadata (amount, date, status) from Stripe for record-keeping.
When you interact with ChefXi's AI features (AI Assistant, AI Studio, Alive Mode), we collect your prompts, inputs, and the resulting AI-generated outputs. This data is processed by third-party AI providers as described in Section 3.

ChefXi is based in the United States. If you are accessing the Platform from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other appropriate safeguards for international data transfers where required by applicable law.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), encryption at rest, row-level security (RLS) on all database tables, secure authentication via OAuth providers, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
ChefXi is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 16, we will promptly delete it. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@chefxi.com.
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. However, we do not engage in cross-site tracking.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
